Event Description
We'll be tasting a fabulous range of red wines from all over the world. Which wines will really come to life and show their true expression when partnered with a succulent rump steak expertly prepared and cooked to your requirements by the Hotel Du Vin chefs?
We will begin our evening by talking about what makes a great match when it comes to food and wine. You will be expertly guided through the four wines that you are going to be enjoying with your meal before the food arrives and discuss the particular characteristics of each wine and why these wines have been selected.
We will be pairing wines from around the world from old world classics to full bodied new world wines.
Does price have an impact on how the wine compliments your food? We will compare a more affordable wine with wines that would cost upwards of £60 per bottle on a restaurant wine list! This event also represents great value.
Once our food arrives, we will taste each wine and see what effect our steak has on the taste of the wine and how the wine works to enhance the flavours of that beautiful steak.
At the end of the evening you will have made a decision as to which of the wines you preferred and why. You will then be able to order with confidence the next time you order a steak from the menu!
