Australian winemaking has come a long way since the 1990s and classic styles are changing while wines from newer areas are attracting global acclaim.

Margaret River was first planted 60 years ago and has made its name since from the unusually refined Cabernet Sauvignon wines it produces, gamey Shiraz, intensely citrusy Chardonnay and grassy and refreshing blends of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon.

With obvious similarities to Bordeaux, winemakers here can attract top prices and we'll try signature examples of the styles you can expect.

HOW IT WORKS

You buy the wines separately and need only consume a tasting sample of each wine during the tutorial. You can follow our preservation tips to keep any leftovers for another day.
