A fun wine tasting (12am to 4pm) in an exclusive Cambridge University venue including Champagne and three-course lunch.
Our Saturday courses with lunch are informal, relaxed and suitable for anybody from beginners to enthusiasts. Beginning with Champagne, sample 13 wines from around the world learning what makes each wine different.
There's a choice of two venues - beautiful Madingley Hall (Queen Victoria sent Edward Prince of Wales to live there when he was studying at Cambridge) or a centrally located Cambridge college.
What you'll experience:
- Champagne to start
- Sample major white wines
- Start lunch with blinis and paired wines, learning how to pair with food
- Main course paired with two red wines to compare flavour effects
- Dessert wine with pudding
- Mini-tour of the college and demonstration opening Champagne with a sword
- Explore red wines understanding how climate and winemaking affects flavour
