On our series of Grape Escapes tasting evenings, we will be pitting the classic traditional wines from Europe against those whipper snappers from the rest of the world with their more modern style of wine.
Is one better than the other?
That's for you to decide...
On this weeks tasting we will be looking at Riesling and Syrah (or is it Shiraz!)
Historically the best Rieslings in the world come from Germany or Alsace in France, but did you know that Australia is producing some excellent Riesling too and how about the USA, its not all Oaky chardonnays you know! And is it Syrah or is it Shiraz? either way we'll be trying classic french style and seeing what those new world warmer climate wines can do!
Join us on this great night of exploration we'll be tasting at least 6 wines on the night and there will be a selection of cheese and nibbles too. And just so you are not swayed by a label or pre-conceptions.... you'll be tasting the wine blind!!
